Sofie's saving super tip - Cheapest way of transferring money ever!!

Found an awesome site a while back that I want to share with you. Living in Gibraltar and Spain with a bank account and family in Sweden means I'm always transferring money between countries and currencies. The bank charges are outrageous! Barclays charge £25 to transfer £100 to my Swedish account, sorry too expensive.

I found this great site Transferwise. They charge almost nothing to send money, normally 1 to 4 pounds for my transfers so far (ranging from £100 to £1500).
If you use my link here (<-- click click) your first transfer is free. If 3 people sign up and transfer money by clicking on my link, I get paid £50, which will go towards a stunning kimono ;) The service is great I really cannot recommend it enough. From transferring £3690 I have saved £211 which is to be honest pretty damn brilliant! Who wouldn't rather spend that money on something else, I know I would!

This is the kimono I'm going to get. Click on the photo to check it out :)

Borough Market

In London there are lots and lots of different markets. One of the ones that's been on my "to do list" was Borough Market which is a food market. It's located by London Bridge so after we had some lunch at Sushisamba yesterday we strolled across the river and in to the market. They sell all sorts of things from fresh fish, fruit, vegetables to paella to liquorice. It was great and there was so much I wanted to try but I ended up drinking a pimm's, eating a cumberland sausage and a slice of raspberry cheesecake. After that I was rather full ;) It was all delicious. The cheesecake was one of the best I have ever tasted. It was so good I didn't even have time to take a photo, hehe.

I'm going to try to squeeze in another visit before we leave London cause there's still so much food I would like to try there.

Hope you like the photos!

SUSHISAMBA

Rob took me for lunch to Sushisamba yesterday. It's located on 38th and 39th floor of Heron Towers so the views are stunning! The food was equally stunning. We only shared a few dishes as we were on our way to Borough Market but they were absolutely fantastic.
Highly recommended. See what I did there?  "Highly", tehee ;)

This is my last weekend in London that I'm not working so we are trying to make the most out of it so gotta go!

New in - summer dresses

As I now know for sure I will enjoy at least 2 more months of proper summer I decided to get myself a few nice summer dresses. It's been really hot in London for the past two weeks or so which means I'll be able to wear them here as well. I've been so good with doing almost no shopping in the last couple of months. However as I'm leaving London soon I better make the most out of what London has to offer, right? ;)
Please don't tell Rob though, tehee.

Good bye London - Hola España

Last week it finally got confirmed that I can start working from our office in Gibraltar. Hurrah! This means that after almost a year in London we are heading back south. I'm beyond excited! Flying back on the 15th of August and will spend the first 4 days in Banus. I've also got a nice long holiday to look forward to as mum and dad are coming to Marbella. I will spend 10 days with them before we are going back to Sweden together, where I'll stay for a week. Lots of things to look forward to :)

On another note I got shin splits so can't do any proper exercise. Did an hour yoga yesterday and going swimming today. Hopefully it will heal quickly as beach time is approaching quickly ;)

That's all for now, if anyone actually made it this far, ha ha. Got lots more to tell so will probably make another post later on today!

The Toyshop Bar

On Friday I went to the Toyshop bar in Putney with my London Swedes. It was a really great night with massive sharing cocktails such as Ralph the Robot and King of my castle and lots and lots of prosecco. Some of the others moved on to Clapham around 1.30 but me and Rob decided it was to go home for us. I was ever so happy for taking that decision when I woke up yesterday morning, he he.

In the Toyshop bar you can either have small dishes to share or you can order their BBQ for minimum 2 persons or their picnic basket which you also need to be minimum 2 persons for.

Most of us decided to just order a couple or a few small dishes each. I went for the goat's cheese lolly pops and the pan fried lemon sole and chunky chips. Both were really good but I particularly enjoyed the fish. The dished were £6 and £7 each.

I would definitely recommend it as it's such a cool place with some wicked sharing cocktails. "King of my castle" was the best one, really tasty!
